PMG Performance Report: McLean Internal Medicine

Est. Reading Time: < 1 minute

Our Performance Report this week is McLean Internal Medicine, a two-provider primary care practice in the D.C. metro area. After joining Privia Medical Group in 2013, not only have they increased their gross practice collections by 20%, but they also have had a 50% decrease in days in Accounts Receivable, a 0% missing slip rate, and a 30% increase in new patients month over month.
In 2013, when evaluating the state of their practice, doctors Krakower and Zanetti had a number of pressing concerns. These included implementing and using an EMR, qualifying for meaningful use, participating in an accountable care organization (ACO), improving the accuracy of coding and revenue cycle management, and achieving new patient growth. In order to address these concerns while still remaining independent, Krakower and Zanetti joined Privia Medical Group in April 2013.
When asked about their decision to join, Dr. Krakower commented, “my practice is supported in everything from IT support, to the EMR and practice management system, to coding and billing. I have no worries anymore when it comes to revenue cycle. I know it is being taken care of so I can focus on patient care.”
Congrats to McLean Internal Medicine for your spectacular performance!
