Dr. Keith Fernandez is the Executive Vice President & Chief Clinical Officer at Privia Health. He joined Privia in 2016 after 33 years in medical practice and 15 years leading integrated physician networks and ACOs. At Privia, Keith developed the National Physician Advisory Council and Clinical Research and Clinical Leadership Programs, and he continues to lead the Privia Medical Group’s Gulf Coast ACO.
Before joining Privia, Dr. Fernandez served as President and Physician-in-Chief of the Memorial Hermann Physician Network (MHMD), Chief Medical Officer of the Memorial Hermann Accountable Care Organization, and chairman of MHMD’s Clinical Programs Committee. He graduated from the USUHS and is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Hepatology.

Dr. Sumi Sexton is the President and a Founding Partner of Premier Primary Care Physicians, which has served patients in the greater Washington, D.C. area since 2003. She is a professor of Family Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine and Editor-in-Chief of one of the most widely read journals in Primary Care, American Family Physician.
Dr. Sexton’s practice has been part of Privia Medical Group since 2014, where she currently serves as Chair of the Payer and Finance Committee and on the board of the Women’s Physician Advisory Council (WPAC), and multiple other committees. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at the Georgetown University Family Medicine Residency Program.
