Joseph Quaranta, MD, is the Market President & CEO of Privia Quality Network — Connecticut. He has over 20 years’ experience as a practicing primary care physician and physician executive leading medical groups and large physician networks.Dr. Quaranta has served as President of Community Medical Group (CMG) for over 10 years, leading the largest independent clinically integrated physician network in Connecticut with over 1,100 providers. During this time, he has implemented and developed CMG’s clinical integration and population health programs, leading the organization’s transition toward value-based care. These efforts have resulted in consistently high network performance across a broad range of value-based care initiatives.Dr. Quaranta has worked extensively in the areas of physician engagement and practice transformation, with a focus on helping small, independent practices transition to new care delivery models that emphasize population health and value-based care.He has served in several policy roles in Connecticut, including the Health Information Technology Advisory Council (Co-Chair), the State Innovation Model Steering Committee, the Data Analytics Work Group, the Covid-19 Vaccine Advisory Group, and the State Quality Council.Dr. Quaranta continues to practice internal medicine at Quinnipiac Medical of Branford, where he has been a partner for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of the Yale-New Haven Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program, New York University School of Medicine, and Holy Cross College. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine.

Sam Starbuck is SVP & General Manager of Privia Quality Network, Privia Quality Network — Delaware, and Privia Platform Group — Connecticut. Sam leads all of Privia’s accountable care organization (ACO) programs and activities to support performance in value-based care contracts across Commercial, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid accounting.
