How We Use AI in Your Care To provide you with the highest quality of care, Privia Health utilizes specialized artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning tools to assist our licensed healthcare practitioners. These tools help our team identify potential diagnoses and evaluate treatment options based on your unique health information. Please be advised that these tools may also utilize ambient AI listening or other augmented intelligence technology to assist your healthcare provider during your visit. These tools listen to our conversation to create a written summary for your medical record. By continuing with this visit, you acknowledge you are interacting with an AI system.

Your Rights and Our Responsibility

  • Human-Led Care: While these AI tools provide recommendations, they do not make final medical decisions. Every AI-generated recommendation is personally reviewed by your licensed healthcare provider in accordance with standards developed by the Texas Medical Board. Your provider makes the ultimate clinical decision based on their professional judgment and the scope of their license.
  • Biological Sex Data: In compliance with Texas law, our AI tools utilize your documented biological sex at birth to ensure diagnostic and treatment recommendations are medically accurate.
  • Data Security & Residency: All electronic health records used by these tools are physically maintained on secure servers located within the United States or a U.S. territory.
  • Non-Discrimination: We are committed to the responsible use of technology. The AI systems we use are developed and deployed to ensure they do not discriminate against individuals based on protected characteristics.
  • Opt-Out: You have the right to request that we do not use AI documentation for your visit. Please inform your provider immediately if you wish to opt-out.

Emergency Situations In the event of a medical emergency, we prioritize immediate treatment. If AI tools are used during an emergency, we will provide this disclosure to you or your representative as soon as reasonably possible after the situation has stabilized.
