WINSTON-SALEM, NC and ARLINGTON, VA – (February 11, 2021) – Javara, Inc. and Privia Medical Group announce the expansion of clinical trial access to patients in the North Texas region through partnership with Privia Medical Group–North Texas. Javara’s partnership with Privia now spans across four regions in the United States, including the Gulf Coast (Texas), Georgia, the Mid-Atlantic (MD, VA and DC region) and North Texas.
Dr. Ronald Blair, a practicing pediatrician, will serve as Medical Director for clinical research and one of Privia’s Principal Investigators to advance clinical research engagement and access in the region. Dr. Blair noted, “The physicians of Privia Medical Group–North Texas are ready and eager to engage with Javara and begin participating in the exciting clinical research opportunities. The combination of Javara’s organization and infrastructure combined with the physician commitment of our group will continue to help us make a difference to improve healthcare for our patients.”
According to CISCRP, 64% of respondents would prefer to learn about a clinical trial from their physician. To meet this need, Javara, an Integrated Research Organization, and Privia will inform patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area about opportunities to volunteer in clinical trials as part of their care.
“We believe the best way to reach patients is to bring the clinical trials to them, at the point-of-care and provide them with opportunities that best serve their health needs and interests,” said Jennifer Byrne, CEO of Javara. “Our partnership with Privia Medical Group has been foundational in offering cutting-edge clinical trials to thousands of patients, and we’re sincerely honored to be partnered with a progressive organization like Privia Medical Group.”
Clinical trial activity is expected to begin in the first quarter 2021 with a COVID pediatric vaccine trial. It is expected that future trials will be offered in pediatrics, women’s health, general medicine and other clinical specialties.
