Performance data shows largest savings to date, and second straight year improving the health of local communities
TYRONE, GA – (September 30, 2019) – Today, Privia Medical Group–Georgia announced that its accountable care organization (ACO), Privia Quality Network–Georgia, delivered quality care and improved patient outcomes, saving Medicare and the American healthcare system more than $13 million through the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). The Privia Quality Network–Georgia ACO improved the health of patients throughout the state, providing high-value cost-efficient care to more than 22,000 Medicare beneficiaries in local communities in 2018.
Privia Quality Network–Georgia achieved more than 6% savings for the second consecutive year. The results also show that the ACO continues to receive extremely high quality scores, this year earning a score of 95%.
These outcomes demonstrate Privia Quality Network–Georgia’s dedication to lowering the total cost of care for their patients and families by improving the quality of care and emphasizing preventive care initiatives. The organization eliminates waste from the healthcare system by focusing on high-caliber metrics, strategically executing population health efforts and elevating the patient-provider relationship.
“We are proud to once again be recognized for the hard work of our providers and care teams to maximize the standard of care to our community of Medicare beneficiaries,” says Amy Cheslock, President of Privia Medical Group–Georgia. “We enjoy a strong partnership with our independent physicians that bolsters our value-based care programs, improves patient outcomes and lowers overall healthcare expenses.”
Privia Quality Network–Georgia’s parent company, Privia Health (Privia), also supports successful ACOs in the Mid Atlantic, North Texas and the Gulf Coast. All four regions in the Privia Quality Network deliver the highest standard of care, creating shared savings of more than $70 million for MSSP in 2018. Since 2014, Privia has delivered total shared shavings of more than $137 million.
