Shawn Crawford joined Privia in 2016, bringing more than 20 years of executive leadership expertise in population health initiatives and collaboration on Triple Aim Goals with healthcare providers. Shawn has served in a variety of care settings including private practices, hospital-based practices, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), Outpatient Diagnostic Centers and IU School of Medicine practices.
In addition to his role as President of Privia Medical Group – Southwest Virginia, Shawn currently serves as the CEO for MD-Resource, a management service organization providing services to more than 100 providers as well as Central Virginia Family Physicians, a family medicine group of over 56 physicians with 9 primary care locations, 3 immediate care locations, a diagnostic center and a central lab; and Collaborative Health Partners, a clinically integrated network of more than 100 participating providers with a focus on population health management to ensure practices are achieving the triple aim. In this capacity, Shawn helped to develop the first independent clinically integrated network in Virginia and the first network to develop a direct care plan for employers. He and his team helped to lead Central Virginia Family Physicians medical group to become a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home.
